The O.K. Corral

Sundance, the annual indie film bash in Park City, Utah, takes place every January. It's full winter in the stunning Wasatch Range of mountains and, at an elevation of 7,000 feet, Park City can be a bit brisk, weatherwise. Ever wonder how cinephiles manage to stay warm while queuing for films day and night?

Well, the festival's staff and volunteers have thoroughly thought that potential problem through. Meet the heated tent, lined with row upon row of metal gates for corralling patrons -- a staple of the festival that keeps everyone warm and ensures there is no unseemly jostling for position in the lineup.

All I can say is, good on Sundance for their lineup system. Too bad Cannes doesn't do it this way. The elbows of the international press there are so sharp!
